Yas Waterworld Expansion Set to Open This Summer in Abu Dhabi
Miral, the visionary behind immersive experiences in Abu Dhabi, has announced the upcoming launch of the Yas Waterworld expansion this summer.
This latest phase of the Yas Waterworld expansion will greatly enhance the water park, introducing 12 new rides and slides, along with a fresh dining experience.
Among the highlights is Al Sahel Junior, the first mini zero-gravity Boomerango in the region, featuring thrilling drops, winding slides, and vertical zooms.
Additionally, Dawwama Junior offers a smaller version of the park’s tornado slide, while Rimal Racer allows young adventurers to race side-by-side.
Mataha Madness presents a maze of twists and turns, Bahamut’s Rage is an exhilarating log flume ride, and Bandit’s Playground serves as a dynamic splash zone.
Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, group CEO of Miral, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are incredibly excited about the Yas Waterworld expansion, which reinforces our commitment to establishing Yas Island as a premier global entertainment and leisure destination.”
New Slides and Rides on Yas Island
He further stated: “These 12 new rides and slides will provide our guests with unmatched aquatic adventures, creating joyful and lasting memories for families and thrill-seekers alike.”
“This milestone enriches our portfolio of world-class attractions and plays a vital role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s tourism vision and broader economic diversification efforts.”
As part of the expansion, Yas Waterworld will unveil a new theme called the Lost City, which is described as a realm of hidden treasures and secret passages.
This theme builds upon the water park’s original narrative, inspired by the UAE’s pearl-diving heritage.
Upon the opening of the Yas Waterworld expansion, the park will feature over 57 rides, slides, and attractions.
Located on Yas Island, the park is in proximity to major attractions such as SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
Other highlights on the island include Yas Bay Waterfront, Clymb Abu Dhabi, ten hotels with over 3,500 rooms, a golf course, a beach, and a shopping mall.
