To invigorate the tourism sector, enhance the quality of tourist experiences, and boost tourism consumption, the Xiangshawan Water Park project was inaugurated on 25th June 2020, coinciding with the Dragon Boat Festival. This initiative aims to provide a refreshing escape in the summer desert, offering water-based entertainment to visitors.
The Xiangshawan Water Park is uniquely situated in the national 5A scenic area of Inner Mongolia’s Xiangsha Bay. It stands as the world’s only water park constructed on a desert, sprawling over 45,000 square metres. The park’s design, equipment manufacturing, and installation services are exclusively provided by Lanchao Amusement. The park features innovative attractions such as the newly developed water flying saucer, water speeder II, racing water airship, and water house, alongside children’s water slides and a water play area, all of which are popular in the market.
The opening of Xiangshawan Water Park marks a significant milestone by introducing water activities in the desert, thereby unlocking more tourism consumption potential. This development is expected to aid in the swift recovery of the consumer market and mitigate the adverse effects of the pandemic on the tourism industry.
