Wiegand.waterrides Launches Next-Generation Waterplay Towers Installations

Exciting Launch of Next-Generation Waterplay Towers

wiegand.waterrides, a leading water rides and attraction provider, is celebrating the debut of its innovative concept, the next-generation Waterplay Towers.

These structures, based on designs acquired from the former Dutch company Van Egdom, are constructed entirely from high-quality stainless steel, which has been powder-coated to enhance durability.

The play features of the tower, including jets and water cannons, have been modernised and are complemented by GRP water slides from the Wiegand collection. The offerings include a body slide, fast tube slide, double slide, and wide slide, all designed with shallow landing pools to ensure safety during use.

Landmark Installations

The inaugural Waterplay Towers attraction was launched at the William Tell holiday resort in Limburg, Belgium, on 24 June, marking it as the largest spray park in the country.

According to park owner, Lode Nulmans, this new attraction is intended to extend the operational season of the 5-star campsite, featuring heated water. The spray park will be accessible from April to October, operating independently of the existing outdoor pool.

Both the spray park and outdoor pool welcome day visitors, while overnight guests from campsites across the Limburg region enjoy free entry.

The second installation can be found at Denmark’s new Center Parcs Nordborg Resort.

Dubbed Water Playhouse, it showcases nature-inspired theming throughout, including floral design daylight effects on the fast tube slide.

Earlier this year, Norwegian Cruise Line celebrated the christening of its new ship, Norwegian Aqua, which features the Aqua Slidecoaster by wiegand.waterrides. This attraction is the world’s first hybrid roller coaster and waterslide, providing two unique ride experiences as the longest and fastest slides at sea.

wiegand.waterrides also recently marked the successful launch of the Monster Lotus slide at the Looping Group’s Parque Aquatico water park in Portugal. Perched 100 metres above the Tamega River, this hillside attraction offers breathtaking views alongside innovative slides that utilise the terrain’s height variations.
