WhiteWater Marks Successful Year for Endless Surf Technology
WhiteWater, a prominent waterpark manufacturer, is celebrating an exceptional year for its Endless Surf product, highlighted by prestigious project announcements as its advanced wave technology continues to thrive.
Since its launch in Munich during the summer, Endless Surf has gained significant traction as we approach 2025, making headlines globally, from the Australian Gold Coast to the beaches of Brazil and Cabo.
The popularity of Endless Surf wave pools is on the rise, serving as anchor attractions for operators eager to cater to the demands of modern visitors, as interest in surfing grows worldwide.
Adaptability for an Expanding Market
Mick Fanning, a three-time world surfing champion, recently announced Palm Valley, Australia’s first surf and golf resort. The cutting-edge wave technology of Endless Surf will power this project, located just seven kilometres from Main Beach at Parkwood International Golf Club. This attraction will combine a championship golf course, a luxury resort, and a high-performance surf lagoon, positioning it as a key centre for outdoor and leisure tourism in Australia.
Palm Valley’s Endless Surf lagoon will feature adjustable wave settings to accommodate surfers of all skill levels, creating an inviting environment for both novices and experts. The facility is anticipated to open in mid-2027, establishing itself as an elite training ground for surfers preparing for Brisbane 2032, with the potential to host Olympic events.
Fanning states: “Surfing has given me everything. Palm Valley is my way of giving back, creating an inclusive space that showcases the future of surf parks.”
Endless Surf is also set to power the new Cabo Real Surf Club in Los Cabos, which merges surfing with luxury living. This community will be the first in North America to feature a private Endless Surf wave basin, alongside various sports and health facilities. Cabo Real combines Endless Surf’s sophisticated wave technology with the region’s natural beauty and vibrant culture to provide a world-class surfing experience.
The development is expected to open in 2026, with construction already underway and $50 million in homesite sales achieved.
In collaboration with Brasil Surfe Clube (BSC), Endless Surf has launched two innovative surf lifestyle hubs: BSC Costa Verde and BSC Região dos Lagos. These projects will feature the largest wave pools in the Southern Hemisphere, utilising Endless Surf’s ES48 technology to generate over 750 waves per hour. The clubs are set to open in 2026 and aim to transform surf culture in Brazil by integrating surfing, wellness, and the arts within dynamic community spaces.
Ricardo Laureano Siqueira, CEO of BSC, remarks: “These projects represent a new era for surfing in Brazil. With Endless Surf’s world-class technology, we’re creating destinations that celebrate Brazil’s passion for surfing while strengthening communities.”
These recent announcements illustrate how surf parks can be adapted as anchor attractions across various business models. Each location is leveraging surfing’s international appeal and versatility to support its unique master plan, from Palm Valley’s blend of sport and leisure to Cabo Real’s property-driven strategy and Brazil’s membership-based community hubs.
These projects highlight the expanding market for surf parks and how developers can capitalise on this global trend to cater to nearly any type of venue.
Global Growth
Endless Surf opened its first surf lagoon, described as a pure-play surf park, at O2 SURFTOWN MUC in Germany earlier this year. SURFTOWN has seen significant success, evidenced by its sold-out sessions, events, and festivals. The surf park is demonstrating the viability of locations focused solely on surfing, embodying the adage “if you build it, they will come.”
Endless Surf is also making strides in the themed entertainment sector. The company’s second project is nearing completion in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, where an Endless Surf lagoon will be a key attraction for the Aquarabia water theme park.
The momentum of Endless Surf is clear as the firm concludes an outstanding year. It is well-positioned to continue influencing the inland surfing movement globally, thanks to its international debut in Germany and prominent locations in Australia, Mexico, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia.
With over a dozen projects underway, Endless Surf is set to expand globally in 2025. The technology is paving the way for inland surfing and enabling developers to take advantage of the growing interest in the sport worldwide.
WhiteWater recently shared insights into the impact of its new product launches at IAAPA Expo 2024, where it unveiled more new products than ever before and received two Brass Ring Awards.
