Water Amusement Park Equipment Classification and Safety Guidelines

The classification and safety precautions for water amusement park equipment are outlined below:
1. The distance between water amusement park equipment and adjacent amusement equipment should be no less than 0.6m.
2. The water depth in the amusement area of the theme park’s wave-making pool should not exceed 1.8m. The pool bottom should be sloped, with the slope not exceeding 8%.
3. The splash area of the spiral water slide should have a water depth of 0.8m to 0.9m, while the kid’s water slide splash area should have a depth of 0.3m to 0.6m.
4. The special slide splash area for water park equipment should have a water depth ranging from 0.9m to 4m.
5. The rafting river for water amusement park equipment should not have a water depth greater than 1.2m.
6. The children’s pool for water amusement park equipment should not exceed a water depth of 0.3m, and the overall children’s pool should not be deeper than 0.6m.
7. For rafting rivers (such as circulation rivers, rapids rivers, tidal rivers, giant flood gorges), the average surface velocity should be less than 2m/s, the width should be no less than 2.5m, and the pushing, wave-making devices and ancillary facilities should not pose any harm to tourists.
8. The wave height in the swimming pool for water amusement park equipment should be no more than 1.2m, and the height of the big wave should not exceed 3.0m.
9. At least two independent, fixed, and non-professional safety grids should be installed at the backwater inlet of the water circulation system of water amusement park equipment. The grid gap should be less than 8mm, and the grid velocity should not exceed 0.2m/s. These should be placed away from tourist activity waters. If unavoidable and set on a pool wall accessible to tourists, the safety grille should be shaped like a spherical crown, with a safety warning sign above the waterline.
10. Various amusement pools should be set up separately, and isolation devices should be installed if the waters are connected.
