Projects throughout Europe
This year, the company is engaged in a variety of themed environments, ranging from ancient Mayan ruins to Nordic-inspired family areas. These projects exemplify Universal Rocks 2025 projects and highlight the company’s proficiency in shotcrete, sculpting, and painting, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in immersive decoration.
Some notable projects include:
- Camp Resort – Europa-Park, Germany. Universal Rocks has crafted a shotcrete, sculpted, and painted structure that evokes a striking rock formation at the centre of the Camp Resort roundabout, enhancing the thematic appeal of the resort’s western-themed hotel.
- Les Ducs de Savoie Hotel – Courchevel, France. In this ongoing project, the company is designing an immersive cave for the spa at Hôtel Les Ducs de Savoie, promising an exceptional relaxation experience in a cocooning, mineral environment.
- Emerald Park, Ireland. Universal Rocks has recently completed the artificial rock components for the Tír Na nÓg zone, inspired by Irish mythology. The unique structures are crafted from sculpted and hand-painted concrete, reflecting the enchanting atmosphere of this legendary realm for a memorable visitor experience.
- Fantasiana, Austria. The new “Helios” coaster, the world’s second Stryker Coaster by Mack Rides, takes visitors on an immersive, golden journey to a mythological world. Universal Rocks has contributed to this launch by creating facades, sculptures, and painted finishes for the thematic building.
- Freizeitpark Plohn, Germany. Universal Rocks has designed sculpted and painted rocks for the new Wild Swing, “Aqualuna & die Wunschschaukel”, providing aquatic immersion and excitement for visitors of all ages.
- Nigloland, France. The company has transformed the Pirates Hotel restaurant as part of the resort’s hotel expansion. Now named “Erizo”, the restaurant features a complete range of new interior and exterior façades, along with ceilings for the extension. Universal Rocks is also replacing the hotel canopy and crafting new columns in shotcrete and paint, while fully repainting the “La Ronde des Canards” attraction.
- Parc Astérix, France. For the new “Le Souk” and the “Les Fastes du Nil” Restaurant in The Egyptian Zone, Universal Rocks has created interior and exterior façades with shotcrete and thematic columns, as well as painted murals inside the restaurant. The company is also working on the upcoming “Cétautomatix” Family Roller Coaster, which will feature shotcrete façades, wood-effect beams, and painted finishes.
- Phantasialand, Germany. The company has developed façades and paintings to facilitate an immersive transition between the Mexico and Klugheim (Mystery) zones, while maintaining the park’s unique narrative and visual coherence.
- Rulantica – Europa-Park, Germany. Universal Rocks has created sculpted artificial rocks for two new areas: the “Nørd Havn” family area with Nordic port theming, and the “Svømmepøl” outdoor pool with an integrated bar.
- Suntago – Park of Poland, Poland. For the water park’s new “Crocodile Island” indoor family zone, designed in collaboration with Creative Studio Berlin, Universal Rocks has crafted themed façades, sculpted walls of Mayan ruins, tree trunks, and artificial rocks, along with a central circular plaque for the interactive game “Race Through the Ruins,” which serves as a focal point of the pre-zone.
