Sunkid’s Delivery to Sam Son Water Park in Vietnam

Innovative Water Park Conveyors at Sam Son Water Park

Sunkid, a prominent provider of attractions for families, has successfully delivered four customised systems to Vietnam’s latest water park from its development and production facility in Bad Goisern, Austria. The installation of these systems was carried out by the customer, with Sunkid overseeing their operation.

The first phase of Sam Son Water Park opened its doors to the public in June 2024, featuring a variety of unique slides, including some of the tallest in Asia. Located approximately 15 kilometres from Than Hoa and just 1.5 kilometres from Sam Son Beach, the park spans an impressive 33.5 hectares, promising excitement for visitors of all ages.

World-class Water Park Experiences

With over 30 high-performance water ride experiences across eight complexes, Sam Son Water Park showcases several outstanding features developed by ProSlide, a leading manufacturer of water attractions. “We are thrilled to collaborate with visionaries like Sun Group to strategically develop world-class water park experiences in Vietnam,” states Steve Avery, vice president of business development for the APAC region at ProSlide.

ProSlide and Sun Group utilise systems from Sunkid for the transportation of their tyres and rafts. These systems are specifically designed to move sliding tyres, with drive outputs ranging from 5.5 to 7.5 kW. Among Sunkid’s advanced vertical conveyor generation, two systems measuring 40 and 50 meters in length ensure safe and comfortable transportation in confined spaces, making them ideal for water park conveyors.

The other two tyre transport belts employ the reliable ‘Blue Eye’ conveyor belt, which moves the tyres diagonally over lengths of 63 and 84 meters. This belt’s innovative design and rubber composition effectively drain excess water from the surface while preventing the wet tubes from sliding back.

Sunkid’s CEO Emanuel Wohlfarter remarks: “This latest project in Vietnam, along with the trust placed in us by major players like ProSlide and Sun Group, highlights the reputation we have diligently built over many years in the water park industry.”

“Our comprehensive range of water park conveyors now allows us to cater to all projects, including those with specific requirements. The quality of our products (manufactured in Austria, Europe) and the excellence of our global service are key factors for our customers.”

Earlier this year, Sunkid supported white-water athletes and emerging talents in their preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics by equipping the training facility in Cesson-Sévigné, France, with a new water conveyor belt. This technology was also employed during the 2021 wild water stadium at the Olympics in Tokyo.
