Royal Caribbean Launches Perfect Day Mexico, a New Private Destination

Royal Caribbean Introduces the Exciting Perfect Day Mexico

Royal Caribbean has announced the launch of Perfect Day Mexico, a brand-new private destination for its passengers located along the Caribbean coast of Mahahual in Mexico.

Covering over 200 acres, Perfect Day Mexico is set to open its doors in 2027, featuring attractions like Loco Waterpark, which boasts 30 waterslides, including the world’s longest coaster waterslide.

Among the highlights of Loco Waterpark is the world’s first sombrero slide, inspired by the traditional Mexican sombrero.

At Splash Cove, the central hub of Perfect Day Mexico, visitors will find the longest lazy river globally, complete with a “crazy section” that offers unexpected twists and turns.

An adults-only area will feature a swim-up bar and an in-pool DJ, while Fiesta Plaza will showcase the world’s largest sombrero.

The destination will also provide nearly two miles of pristine white sand beaches, alongside 12 dining options and 24 bars.

Perfect Day Mexico is bigger and bolder than anything we have done to date,” stated Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean.

Cruise Brand Expands on Land and at Sea

“This destination will be the ultimate vacation for families, and we cannot wait to welcome adventurers from around the world to Mexico for an experience only Royal Caribbean can provide.”

Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer at Royal Caribbean, remarked: “Vacationers trust us to help them make every moment a memory, which is why we are changing the game with unforgettable experiences at Perfect Day Mexico and beyond.”

When it opens in autumn 2027, Perfect Day Mexico will cater to Western Caribbean itineraries departing from Galveston, New Orleans, and various Florida homeports.

Perfect Day Mexico is part of Royal Caribbean’s expansion of land-based destinations, which also includes Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas.

The cruise line is also set to unveil a new island destination named Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in the Bahamas in December 2025.

This will be succeeded by Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico in 2026, and a new beach destination in Lelepa in the South Pacific in early 2027. “As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings at sea and on land, our ambition is to provide our guests with a diverse range of experiences that evolve with them, transforming the vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group.
