ProSlide Partners with Chimelong for Groundbreaking Water Park Innovation

ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, has announced an exciting new partnership with Chimelong Water Park, the most visited water park in the world. Set to open in spring 2025 in Guangzhou, China, this expansion will feature ProSlide’s state-of-the-art technology and the latest advancements in water park innovation. This initiative highlights the commitment of both ProSlide and Chimelong to enhance the guest experience at water parks while solidifying Chimelong’s status as a premier water destination in China and beyond.

The initial complex will unveil the world’s first Launched HydroMAGNETIC LIM Mammoth Water Coaster. ProSlide’s HydroMAGNETIC technology is recognised as the most advanced raft propulsion system globally and is already in use at leading water parks such as Holiday World, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and Everland Caribbean Bay.

The second complex will anchor Chimelong’s redesigned entrance pavilion. As guests enter the water park, they will be greeted by stunning views created by two prominent water rides. The first, a colossal Double TORNADO 60, makes Chimelong the first water park globally to feature three TORNADO 60s. The second raft ride will introduce new water ride technology that ProSlide plans to showcase at the upcoming IAAPA Expo in Orlando.

A Long-Standing Relationship

ProSlide and Chimelong have a history of collaboration on numerous industry-leading projects, including the two IAAPA Impact Award winners: the ProSlide TORNADO (2007) and the ProSlide BehemothBOWL (2008).

Since its inception in 2007, Chimelong Water Park has attracted over 2.5 million visitors annually, establishing itself as the largest water park in China. Located next to the renowned Chimelong Paradise amusement park, it has become a leader in innovative water-based entertainment.

This recent expansion signifies more than just the addition of new rides; it exemplifies the shared commitment of ProSlide and Chimelong to enhance the water park experience, setting new standards in water park innovation and excitement.

Last month, ProSlide celebrated the induction of its president and CEO, Rick Hunter, into the IAAPA Hall of Fame. This honour reflects Hunter and the ProSlide team’s substantial contributions to the water park sector, which continue to uphold the firm’s nearly 45-year legacy of innovation, dedication, and leadership.
