MSC World Asia to Feature World’s Longest Dry Slide at Sea
MSC Cruises’ new ship, MSC World Asia, is set to introduce thrilling attractions, including the world’s longest dry slide at sea, when it embarks on its maiden voyage next year.
MSC World Asia, the third vessel in the cruise line’s World Class series, is scheduled to navigate the Mediterranean starting from 11 December 2026.
Similar to its sister ship, MSC World Asia will showcase seven distinct districts, one of which is the World Promenade.
World Promenade is an open-air area designed for dining and entertainment, featuring a new concept for MSC Cruises called Tree of Life, which will be the world’s longest dry slide at sea, measuring an impressive 266.7 feet.
Inspired by Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, the Tree of Life will allow guests to descend 12 decks in mere seconds.
Additional highlights aboard MSC World Asia include over 40 bars and restaurants, an outdoor park named The Harbour, and the exhilarating Cliffhanger overwater swing ride.
Unique Attractions on MSC Cruise Ships
Moreover, the new ship will offer wellness experiences featuring zen pools and a spacious Aurea Spa, along with seven pools and 13 hot tubs.
MSC World Asia is the third ship in MSC’s LNG-powered World Class series, following MSC World Europa and MSC World America. The upcoming fourth ship will be MSC World Atlantic.
In addition, MSC Cruises is in the process of ordering two more World Class ships, aiming to expand its fleet to a total of six World Class vessels.
Next-generation cruises, often referred to as floating theme parks, are currently a major trend in the attractions industry.
Ben Wilson, MSC Cruises’ head of architecture and concept design, shared insights with blooloop last year, stating: “I think the lines are becoming more blurred when it comes to attractions and entertainment.”
He further noted, “Things don’t just belong in one sector or category, which is beneficial as we are all learning from each other’s experiences and expertise.”
