MSC World Asia: New Ship Launching December 2026

Exciting Launch of MSC World Asia Set for December 2026

MSC Cruises is gearing up for the launch of its latest World Class ship, which is set to embark on its maiden voyage on 11 December 2026. Sales are currently open for MSC World Asia.

MSC World Asia marks the third addition to MSC’s LNG-powered World Class series, following the launches of MSC World Europa and the forthcoming MSC World America, which will set sail from the new MSC Miami cruise terminal to the Caribbean starting April 2025.

This impressive vessel will offer seven-night cruises throughout the winter 2026/27 season, visiting stunning destinations in the western Mediterranean, including Barcelona, Marseille, Naples, Valletta, and Genoa.

Innovative Features of MSC World Asia

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, expressed enthusiasm about the new ship, stating, “MSC World Asia will further enhance our lineup in the region, giving guests even more choice of embarkation ports and itineraries for their winter escape or summer getaways.”

He added, “As with each of our new ships, we’ll introduce innovative new concepts, venues, and services to deliver the ultimate cruise experience for our guests.”

MSC World Asia will showcase seven distinct districts, featuring over 40 bars, lounges, and restaurants, alongside a variety of entertainment options and family-friendly attractions.

Among the highlights are an outdoor park named the Harbour, which includes a water park and multiple waterslides, the thrilling Cliffhanger swing ride, video arcades, and a virtual reality (VR) slide.

Attractions and Experiences on MSC World Asia

Moreover, the ship will offer wellness experiences, including zen pools and a spacious Aurea Spa, complemented by seven pools and 13 hot tubs.

Next-generation cruises, often referred to as floating theme parks, are becoming a significant trend in the attractions industry. Ben Wilson, MSC Cruises’ head of architecture and concept design, remarked, “I think the lines are becoming more blurred when it comes to attractions and entertainment.”

He continued, “Things don’t just belong in one sector or category, which is good as we are all learning from each other’s experience and expertise.”

As the world’s third-largest cruise line, MSC Cruises boasts a fleet of 22 modern ships, with three new vessels set to launch in 2025, 2026, and 2027.
