Legacy Entertainment Partners with Royal Caribbean for Loco Waterpark

Exciting Developments for Loco Waterpark at Perfect Day Mexico

Legacy Entertainment, a prominent theme park and resort design company, has announced a partnership with Royal Caribbean to develop Loco Waterpark at Perfect Day Mexico.

Loco Waterpark is set to be a standout feature of the expansive 200-acre destination, which is anticipated to welcome its first visitors in autumn 2027. Located on Mexico’s Caribbean Coast, Perfect Day Mexico will boast seven distinct areas, featuring 12 dining options, 24 bars, and the world’s longest lazy river.

Taylor Jeffs, the president and chief creative officer of Legacy Entertainment, expresses enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating: “‘Perfect’ is the right word to describe this partnership.

“The creative opportunity of merging Royal Caribbean’s design, signature service, and experiences while showcasing Mexico’s vibrant culture has been a career highlight for us here at Legacy.”

Beyond Traditional Breaks

Legacy Entertainment is set to introduce a unique thematic style for the water park, which will feature over 30 waterslides, a wave pool, and the tallest waterslide tower in North and South America, aptly named ‘Jaguar’s Peak’.

“More than ever before, families are seeking experiences they can enjoy together that cater to everyone, going beyond what a typical theme park getaway can provide,” says Jeffs.

“My team and I are thrilled to enter this space at a time when the divide between these two worlds is narrowing. Perfect Day Mexico will not only match what visitors could experience in Orlando, for instance, but it will surpass it in many ways. And we’re just beginning to explore what’s possible.”

Legacy Entertainment was recently commissioned by Taman Safari, an operator of nine major parks and four safari resorts in Indonesia, to master plan and design its next generation of experiences and attractions, focusing on the chain’s original park, Taman Safari Bogor, which opened in 1986.

Last year, Legacy Entertainment and its subsidiary, The Aquarium Design Company, unveiled the design for the highly anticipated Beijing Haichang Ocean Park.
