Explore Suntago Water World: Europe’s Largest Indoor Water Park
Suntago Water World, a remarkable indoor water park, marks the first phase of the Park of Poland resort development. Covering an impressive area of 20 hectares, it accommodates up to 15,000 visitors daily, making it the largest indoor water park in Europe.
The entire Park of Poland spans nearly 400 hectares. Alongside Suntago Water World (Suntago Wodny Świat), which opened in early 2020, the site includes Suntago Village, featuring 102 bungalows. Future plans also include the construction of a 4-star hotel.
Suntago Water World is divided into three themed zones: Jamango Water Jungle, which boasts water slides, lazy rivers, a wave pool, a surfing simulator, and both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The Relax area offers a spa with a thermal pool, jacuzzi, hydromassage, as well as sulfur and saltwater pools.
Additionally, the Saunaria zone features 15 saunas and a steam room, each with its own unique theme.
The Suntago Water World Experience
Since its opening in February 2020, Suntago Water World has navigated the challenges posed by the global pandemic, which led to a closure of 10 months. However, the park has shown resilience and is now thriving, focusing on a bright future ahead.
Five years later, it enjoys strong attendance and has introduced new attractions, such as the Crocodile Island area, enticing visitors to return. When describing the Suntago Water World experience, CEO Idan Greidinger highlights:
“Tropics in the heart of Europe, specifically in central Poland! Enjoy 32 °C surrounded by real palm trees, all without the need for long trips. Experience adrenaline on 35 slides, a pool with artificially generated waves, and a surfing machine under one roof, just 30 minutes from Warsaw’s airport.”
Guests can choose between adrenaline-pumping activities and relaxation, with options like slides, a wave pool, an adventure river, and a rushing river.
Notable attractions include the Viper, measuring 256 metres, the high-speed Teleport, the thrilling Kraken, and the 8-lane Rainbow Race.
For those seeking relaxation, guests over 16 can enjoy the Relax with Wellness & SPA and Saunaria zones:
“They will find 15 saunas from various parts of the world, wet and dry, a salt cave, a snow Mont Blanc, and a spectacular calla shower. We also offer 14 massage rooms for tailored treatments or massages, or simply a chance to swim in a large pool.”
Crocodile Island
Crocodile Island, a newly created area spanning 1,200 square metres, opened in January 2025, just in time for Poland’s winter school holidays. This unique space combines a family entertainment centre with a water park, designed for families and younger guests with games, interactive elements, climbing structures, and surprises.
The area features four zones catering to different age groups. The boat serves as the entry point, while the beach zone offers various play areas, interactive projections, building activities, and a live entertainment stage for singing along with mascot Jay.
The rainforest zone engages older children with a vast tree, educational games, interactive projection tables, and a large soft-play structure.
Finally, the ruins are designed for teenagers, featuring challenges like a custom-made reaction game with water sprays and an Eli Play challenge game.
Creative Studio Berlin, an experiential design firm, collaborated closely with the Suntago Water World team on the Crocodile Project from concept to opening.
“This project rewrites the rulebook, creating a highly themed, inviting environment at the heart of the water park,” says Chris Lange, founder of Creative Studio Berlin. “Crocodile Island is a space where children become the bravest adventurers.”
A Gamechanger for Suntago Water World
The project aims to create playful worlds where children can learn through exploration, featuring sensory and tactile experiences that inspire learning through active play.
“It includes interactive and educational games, as well as a sensory tree that allows children to explore the world through touch, smell, and sound,” Greidinger explains. “There’s even a huge ship where everyone can feel like a captain!”
Dominik Wieland, concept artist and art director at Creative Studio Berlin, adds:
“Suntago Water World is a fantastic family-oriented water park with a diverse range of high-thrill attractions and relaxation spaces. Our challenge was to expand their attraction portfolio with something radically different. With Crocodile Island, we transformed a dull storage area into a play zone with storytelling at its core.”
Visitors can immerse themselves in the adventures of the crocodile mascots, Jay & Meggi, with their cartoonish ship, the M.S. Suntago, guiding them through lush, realistic environments.
A Year-Round Immersive Experience
Suntago Water World offers an incredible tropical atmosphere, complete with authentic palm trees and state-of-the-art water rides. Greidinger discusses the challenge of maintaining this immersive experience year-round in Poland:
“We are fully equipped with complex, automated systems that help maintain the right temperature and even automatically water the palm trees. Without these modern systems, it would be a difficult task.”
Qualified technical staff oversee the facilities, while lifeguards ensure safety. “These two aspects must work efficiently to ensure our guests have a great time and feel safe, encouraging them to return.”
Sustainability is also a priority for Park of Poland, with efforts made to be environmentally friendly in the park’s development and operation.
“Few people know that Suntago Water World uses its own borehole, extracting thermal water from approximately 1750 m below the surface, which is then purified for pool and drinking water. The water circulates in a single circuit, continuously filtered and purified for our guests throughout the year.”
New Technologies at Suntago Water World
Water parks globally are increasingly integrating technology to enhance guest experiences, from virtual reality and interactive attractions to innovative queuing systems.
“The park already has an NFC system, allowing guests to use wristbands for payments and locker access,” Greidinger notes. “This is just the beginning of the possibilities ahead.”
“The next step is to introduce multimedia to the park; holograms and special decor will enhance the immersive experience, making guests feel as if they are in the jungle, underwater, or even in space.”
“We aim to provide modern solutions; we have been doing this from the start. Two roofs at Suntago Water World, each weighing over 500 tons, open based on an advanced technological system, taking just 15 minutes.”
Looking to the Future
Looking ahead, Suntago Water World plans to upgrade its slide zone.
“We are working on a new version of the slide zone,” Greidinger reveals. “I can only say that we will conquer a magical world, inviting guests seeking adrenaline and fun. We are also enhancing multimedia and special decorations to create a surreal underwater atmosphere.”
Greidinger adds that while many smaller entities have emerged in Poland, Suntago Water World remains unique due to its scale and tropical climate, offering year-round fun regardless of the weather.
“However, we have much work and investment ahead. We must continually develop and raise the bar to remain the best and most recognisable. This is our goal, closely tied to significant marketing investments.”
Park of Poland Continues to Develop
For the broader Park of Poland project, Greidinger states:
“Our goal remains unchanged. This year, we expanded our accommodation with new cottages, bringing our total to 102 bungalows. For larger families, we introduced the Grand Villa type, featuring a fireplace and a private, glazed terrace with a jacuzzi.”
“We also plan to start building a hotel soon and continue providing our guests with top-tier entertainment. We are consistently developing the park’s attractions and offerings, aiming to become a leading holiday destination in Central Europe.”
With its scale, tropical ambience, and commitment to cutting-edge experiences, Suntago Water World is reshaping expectations for water-based attractions in Europe.
As Park of Poland continues to expand with innovative zones, upgraded slides, and enhanced multimedia experiences, it solidifies its position as a premier year-round destination, inviting visitors to escape to paradise right in the heart of Poland.
