The safety of water slides hinges on three primary factors: water flow, floating gear, and the posture of tourists. The design’s strength and angle can lead to safety incidents if not properly managed. At Chongqing Caribbean Water Park, which has been operational for many years without any safety incidents, this success is attributed to continuous testing, exploration, and evaluation. For instance, several water slide rafts have been improved over time. Initially, a gentle style was used, which later evolved into a dragon boat type. Adjustments to the length and depth of the sliding blanket were made based on the height and physique of tourists in Chongqing, ensuring minimal harm during the slide.
Another project, Home Happy Water Park, began with the traditional 8-shaped raft. However, it was discovered that varying weights of visitors posed a risk of overturning, leading to the adoption of boat-shaped rafts. These adaptations were made through operational experience. Safety in operations is dynamic and must adapt to the facilities and the physical characteristics of local tourists. Each time we inflate a floating raft, a standard gas volume is used.
