CSI Europe Moves to Hamburg for 2025 Event
Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI), the world’s premier exhibition and conference fully dedicated to the cruise ship industry, will be hosting the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSI Europe) event at Germany’s Hamburg Messe Und Congress (HMC) in 2025, as announced by Elite Exhibitions.
For the past five years, CSI Europe has acted as a community and innovation hub for the European cruise ship interiors sector, offering networking opportunities, valuable content, and product sourcing.
The inaugural event took place in 2019 at the Fira de Barcelona, and since 2021, it has been held at Excel London. The transition to HMC in Germany enhances CSI Europe’s status as the leading platform for connecting the cruise ship interiors supply chain in the region.
Serving the Cruise Industry
Germany, particularly Hamburg, has long been a pivotal location for design and manufacturing within the maritime interiors industry. By moving its operations to HMC, CSI Europe will be able to attract highly skilled interior designers, outfitters, and suppliers from across continental Europe.
Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions, states: “Hamburg isn’t just Europe’s cruise hub; it’s a global centre for maritime innovation, providing our exhibitors with access to designers, cruise operators, shipyards, and industry leaders. Its prime location and robust cruise infrastructure ensure better access for decision-makers, making it the perfect venue for our event.”
CSI Europe is a specialised exhibition and conference tailored for the European cruise interior design sector, focusing on luxury ocean, river, and expedition cruise ships.
Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress, remarks: “With CSI Europe, we are acquiring a high-calibre event for Hamburg that complements HMC’s portfolio in a unique way. The cruise industry continues to thrive, and there is a significant demand for sustainable solutions in ship interiors.”
“In conjunction with our extensive maritime network and the modern, centrally located campus of our exhibition centre, along with our partner Elite Exhibitions, we foresee ideal conditions for the event’s long-term growth.”
CSI Europe’s debut in Hamburg is scheduled for 3 to 4 December 2025. Stand space is currently available. The final edition in London will take place next week from 4 to 5 December.
Last month, CSI unveiled its programme of CPD-certified content sessions for CSI Europe. In collaboration with NEWH, these sessions will feature an interiors and hospitality track, aimed at re-energising attendees’ creativity and assisting them in bringing their ideas to fruition.
