Cruise Xperience Innovation Unveils First Conference Agenda

Unveiling the Inaugural Programme of Cruise Xperience Innovation

The Cruise Xperience Innovation (CXI), the latest summit from the organisers of Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI), has announced its inaugural programme of content, sponsored by Journey.

The Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Americas 2025 (CXI Americas 2025) is set to take place from 3 to 4 June at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This event will be co-located with the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas and Hotel & Resort Design South.

“Connecting the dots between seamless guest experience and the wow moments that are the cornerstone of many cruise brands’ strategies, the conference will feature speakers from Virgin Voyages, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Carnival Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, and many others,” states CXI.

Insights, Innovation & Networking

The content programme at CXI Americas 2025 kicks off with Frictionless guest interaction for improved guest experience. This session will delve into how cruise brands are embracing personalisation and bespoke experiences. Notable speakers include Cristina Fernandez, senior director of digital product strategy at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

Day two will commence with New concepts in immersive experiences on cruise, which will explore this vital topic as hospitality design worldwide aims to elevate interactive experiences. The agenda for the second day also includes Beyond the Plate: Experiential dining and Interactive signage+.

Panel discussions will be complemented by hybrid networking and content sessions, taking place around the show floor. During one lunch and learn session, delegates will engage in a conversation between a cruise line buyer and a supplier, discussing ways to develop technologically powered immersive entertainment.

The cruise ship guest experience sector is propelled by its suppliers, who create innovative products tailored to the industry’s unique needs. In Battle of the Brands on 3 June, attendees keen to learn more from suppliers can witness a head-to-head pitch battle in the CXI Conference Lounge.

Key speakers will include Marisa Christenson, director of F&B operations and development at Holland America Line, Ronnie Farzad, principal at Spark Cooperative, Katy Harris, director of creative experiences at Carnival Cruise Line, and Charles Steadman, director of F&B experience and partnerships at Virgin Voyages.

The summit is co-located with CSI Americas, the only exhibition and conference dedicated to connecting buyers and suppliers within the cruise design space.

The cruise ship interiors sector is rapidly evolving, with the newbuild order book experiencing a growth of approximately 50% during 2024 and Q1 of 2025. This industry-leading event features a conference with tracks for interiors and guest experience, content-led networking, and over 300 exhibitors showcasing expertise across every aspect of hospitality design.

Earlier this year, Hotel and Resort Design South (HRDS) announced the launch of its inaugural Future Leaders programme, celebrating the next generation of hospitality design leaders from the Southern States, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
