Crocodile Island Launches at Suntago Water Park by Creative Studio Berlin

Exciting Launch of Crocodile Island at Suntago Water Park

Creative Studio Berlin, the experiential design firm established by Chris Lange, has celebrated its first opening of 2025 with the debut of Crocodile Island at the Park of Poland’s Suntago Water Park.

Crocodile Island officially opened its doors on 17 January 2025, just in time for Poland’s winter school holidays. This new attraction merges a family entertainment centre with a water park, specifically designed to engage families and younger visitors.

The stunning tropical jungle island features vibrant, organic architecture and structures, crafted by its resident animals. As guests wander through the island, they will discover ways to better care for our planet and the creatures that inhabit it.

Idan Greidinger, CEO of Park of Poland, remarked: “Creative Studio Berlin was responsible for everything from concept to opening. Working closely with the Suntago team, they transformed the 1,000 sqm area into a uniquely themed playground that stands out among water parks. Even though it has only been open for a few days, it has quickly become a favourite among our guests. Families enjoy immersing themselves in the world of our mascots Jay, Meggy, and Otto at Crocodile Island.

Activities for All Ages

The new area comprises four main zones, each offering activities tailored to different age groups, complete with unique games, interactive experiences, climbing structures, and surprises waiting to be uncovered. Guests can seamlessly transition between the various areas as they explore.

The zones include:

 • Boat. The entry point and an interactive play zone filled with discoveries on deck.
 • Beach. A space for the youngest children, featuring various play areas, interactive projections, building activities, and a live entertainment stage where they can sing along with mascot Jay.
 • Rainforest. A lush jungle area designed for older children to explore. Activities include a massive rainforest tree with an educational game that engages the senses; Gold Wash, an interactive projection table island-forming game; and a large soft-play structure for kids to expend their energy.
 • Ruins. A zone aimed at teenagers, inviting them to participate in various contests featuring challenges such as a custom-made reaction game with water sprays, an Eli Play challenge game, and more.

Dominik Wieland, the CSB art director overseeing the project, stated: “After developing the concept back in 2022, CSB finally began the production of Crocodile Island in March 2024, working under a tight timeline of less than 10 months to the opening.

“To ensure we deliver the highest quality, we had to be very efficient with our design and production process. Fortunately, we collaborated with our trusted partners like Universal Rocks, Art Department Studio Babelsberg, TreeLocate, and Bentin Projects, among many others.”

Creative Studio Berlin has also recently revealed details about its project to develop the new Play Shipyard at Schloss Dankern, a unique holiday destination in Germany. This multi-million-euro transformation project showcases an innovative approach to storytelling and visitor experiences.
