Celebrating the Milestone of the blooloop anniversary

blooloop Limited, the leading news platform for professionals in the visitor attractions sector, proudly commemorates its blooloop anniversary as it marks 20 years of dedicated service.

This remarkable milestone highlights two decades of commitment to the industry, acknowledging the hard work of its talented team in establishing itself as the most trusted global news source in the sector. To celebrate this occasion and strategically prepare for its future, blooloop is announcing a significant executive leadership transition.

Throughout the past 20 years, blooloop.com has reported on transformative changes in how individuals engage with leisure and culture. Covering news, trends, and developments across museums, theme parks, immersive attractions, zoos, aquariums, and other entertainment venues, it has expanded to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors monthly, boasting a truly global audience.

“We’ve had a front-row seat to the incredible evolution of the visitor attractions industry, from an increasing focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology to the rise of immersive experiences,” stated Charles Read, co-founder.

“Our success is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion of our entire team. As we celebrate this significant blooloop anniversary, we are excited to empower the next generation of blooloop leaders.”

Enhancing Senior Leadership for Future Growth

As it enters its third decade, blooloop is thrilled to announce three key appointments. Ella Baskerville, who previously served as business development director, has been appointed managing director. In her new role, she will oversee business development, organisational culture, recruitment, and external collaborations.

“Having joined blooloop 10 years ago, it’s an incredible honour and an immensely exciting opportunity to step into the managing director role as we celebrate our blooloop anniversary,” expressed Ella.

Alice Sarsfield-Hall and Ruth Read will also take on director roles. Alice will lead events and awards while Ruth will focus on sustainability, working closely with blooloop’s global clients.

Reinforcing its commitment to the team that has driven its success, blooloop is proud to announce that long-standing employees now share ownership of the company. This move solidifies blooloop’s unique culture and dedication to its people.

“Charlie started the company from nothing 20 years ago, and it has grown to become the most trusted news source and a cornerstone of our industry,” remarked Ella.

“Our founders Charlie and Rachel have created something very special, not just in the high-quality content for readers or our close relationships with clients, but in fostering a work environment where our team can thrive and grow.”

Founders Shift to Strategic Roles for Future Vision

In line with these appointments, blooloop’s co-founders will transition into new strategic roles to focus on the company’s long-term vision.

Charles Read will take on the title of creative director, steering the development of blooloop’s upcoming new platform and managing the company’s long-term business and creative strategies.

Co-founder Rachel Read will transition into a strategic director role, retaining her responsibilities as finance director while continuing to collaborate with Ruth on sustainability initiatives.

Leading the Way

Charles Read stated, “blooloop has achieved sustained growth over the last 20 years due to our adaptability in a dynamic global market, with a continuous dedication to delivering the latest industry news and creating insightful content.”

“We were pioneers in highlighting the importance of sustainability in the attractions sector, with blooloop itself becoming a B-Corp company, leading the way with our annual sustainability conference, greenloop.”

“We have also established the highly regarded blooloop 50 Influencer Lists and the groundbreaking Innovation Awards. The results of both are widely shared by many of the world’s leading media outlets.”

“We take pride in being viewed as a trusted authority in the attractions sector. Just last month, we featured on LBC and both the BBC’s flagship Front Row programme and the BBC World Service.”

“As we reflect on our journey, from starting a website from our kitchen table to becoming the industry’s most widely read source, we are immensely grateful to our valued clients and readers worldwide, as well as the many great friends we have made along the way.”
