Aroya Cruises Introduces Unique Dining Options on Inaugural Ship
Aroya Cruises, the pioneering Arabian cruise line, has revealed some of the dining options available aboard its inaugural ship, Aroya, which is set to embark on its first voyage this month.
Initially announced in June 2023, Aroya Cruises operates as a distinct division of Cruise Saudi, a company under the Public Investment Fund (PIF). This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s strategy to establish itself as a global tourism hotspot.
The Aroya ship, the first in its fleet, boasts 1,678 cabins, 20 entertainment venues, and 29 dining establishments, including lounges and cafes, along with a wellness centre spread across 18 decks.
The dining options on board include Irth, which is touted as the first Saudi Arabian restaurant at sea, offering traditional dishes such as jareesh, haneeth, and saleeg, complemented by local breads and Saudi coffee.
Guests can also enjoy La Tavola, an Italian eatery serving pasta, risotto, and salads, while the Fish Market focuses on seafood. The ship’s signature Asian restaurant is Bamboo Kitchen.
For a themed dining experience, visitors can check out the interactive Space Diner, inspired by the Saudi Space Agency’s Human Space Flight programme, which serves American-style fast food.
In terms of lounges, Al Matal provides an all-day venue with stunning ocean views, and Legends Sports Lounge is a sports bar featuring the first charcoal shishas available on a cruise ship.

Guests who opt for the luxury Khuzama experience will have exclusive access to the Khuzama Restaurant, which serves a fusion of Saudi and French cuisine, as well as the Khuzama Lounge.
Aroya Cruises is set to sail on 16 December from Jeddah, embarking on a three-night journey that includes a stop at a private island in the Red Sea.
The entertainment offerings on the ship include a theatre, a karaoke room, a climbing wall, and a mini golf course, in addition to two swimming pools and the largest retail area found on any cruise ship globally.
In other cruise news, Disney Cruise Line’s latest ship recently docked at Port Canaveral in Florida for the first time, with the maiden voyage of the Disney Treasure scheduled for 21 December.
